First Lutheran Church
"God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore, we will not fear."
Updated COVID Protocols Effective: May 4, 2021
The church council made the decision to slowly return things to normal at the church. We will no longer require masks to be worn in the building except for worship. The decision is based on the number of members who have been vaccinated. We are confident that we will achieve herd immunity by vaccination in our church's membership.
We ask that if you are sick, please stay home and take care of yourself.
Through May 23, we will continue to wear a mask in worship, share the peace in a noncontact fashion, and maintain physical distance. The assigned seating and communion in the pews will remain.
Effective May 30, we will not require a mask to be worn during worship, but all other protocols will remain in effect. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do so..
Small Groups (Bible Studies, Meetings, Etc.)
Masking is no longer required in small groups. However, if one group member prefers that masks are used, the council asks that their request is honored.
The church council wishes to thank everyone for their cooperation during this long and unusual time.
We have a Mission …
First Lutheran Church is called by God to be a welcoming church witnessing to Christ in loving service to the world.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
We have a Vision …
We will follow God’s plan for us to grow in faith, service, and community.
I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
